When Bush came into office, he was informed by the outgoing Clinton-regime that North Korea was contained, was going along with our program, etc. He was told that Iran was beset with internal strife, that would probably topple the mullahs theocracy and bring about a reformed, less-militant society that we could work with. Neither scenario has exactly panned out, now, has it?
Iraq got 12 years of diplomacy and UN begging to get their sh## together, before they were finally judged hopelessly intractable and invasion-worthy. Shouldn't the Bushies at least try a few years of diplomatic work, with the "Members Only Jacket" and the Iranian pooh-heads, before they send in the bombs, bullets and boys? Gee, you're so imperialistic these days! Reckless cowboy!
