Good to see you're surviving the Non-NHL season. I didn't miss the regular season at all, but I am missing the Playoffs. And, the Calder Cup doesn't getting me going like the Stanleys. The "Baby-B's" won in OT the other night to cut the Philly Phantom lead to 2-1 in the semis. If they pull this one out, we're thinking about heading down to Providence to catch some of the Finals (went to 3 regular season matches this year).
As far as Bush tactics go, his actions have far reaching effects down the road and the final outcome is still not known for sure at this time. My jury will be out (on his overseas policies) for another 3 to perhaps 8 or years. It may take that long to see if the War on Terror is really effective and if democracy in Iraq works, thus having a positive effect on the entire region. The people of Iraq braving radical threats and still getting out to vote was a HUGE step forward and I applaud them. Because of that, the insurgence is tryin' like hell to start a civil war...all in the name of Allah of course.
Sure, at times Dubya scares me, but my #1 concern was (and still is) terrorism. Plus, something needed to done about the 2nd most dangerous man, Sadaam. (2nd only the nutcase in North Korea, because Kim Jong very-Il has nukes). I still support Bush's foreign policy decisions in theory...but we may not know the final results of his actions for many years.
