      He can't see his own 800 pound gorilla. If the desire is there it is only a matter of time before the capability is there, especially in a world of willing sellers and a purchaser funded by oil revenue, but then I think he purposefully overlooks it. Bell really doesn't take shots and I think his real purpose to is show how clever he is with a whimsical turn of a phrase (Note to Bell. Stick to history and leave this kind of writing to a professional such as Steyn. Or Iowahawk).

      I know Cheney said it, but I disagee this is an existential fight, this is a fight for our way of life and those two are not the same. WWII for the French and Brits was an existential fight, but it was not for us. We could have sued the Japanese for peace and not declared war on Germany and stayed behind our oceans.

      Bell overlooks that sometimes there are folks that just need killing.
