Hi,

I have recovered a pair of ammunition belt linking pliers from the crash site of NA237. Can anyone tell me how many pairs of pliers were carried aboard and where they were kept?

Regards,

Jon

Bottom line here is that I do not beleive these items should have ben taken on the aircraft, however, I am not 100% sure.
These items were not part of the aircraft's general equipment, and therefore, it is my opinion that the pliers would have been carried by one of the gunners, possibly in a pocket or kit bag.
Sorry, best I can do on this one
Ian

Thanks again Ian,

A bit of a mystery then. Strange that they were just lying on the surface under some fallen leaves after 60 years, just waiting for me to find them.

Regards

Jon
