I am a Halifax enthusiast, and I recently encountered a fascinating book all about London Transport, which included four pages on LAPG and on the Halifaxes built by LAPG.
To this end, I was wondering if it would be possible to collate info with regards to the serials, Mark nos. and production dates of all the LAPG Halifaxes.
Also, does anyone know what became of "London Pride", the final LAPG Halifax built? Did it see any squadron use during or after WWII?
"London Pride" went to a RAF Met. Squadron, sorry I am not at home but will be on Tues. next. I have several photos of her on her acceptance flight which you probably saw on the article. In fact it is my home page main photo of London Pride doing her hispeed pass in front of the crowd.
Harry Frsier-Mitchell of the Handley Page association has a full set of official photos of the London Pride ceremony.
He lives south of London and he is in the directory. he may have all the serial too.
Cannot help you until Tues. if you do not make contact with Harry.
When my late Father came off ops he test flew Halifaxs from March1944 to June 1945 I have pages of them in his logbooks.

Thank you one and all for your help in this matter (and apologies for pushing the thread up t'top of t'board). The stuff about test flying Halibags is interesting: even if, as you say Paul, it is off the topic it is fascinating stuff nevertheless.
