HI I AM KARL FROM THE UK I HAVE JUST STARTED A NEW PROJECT IN THE SHAPE OF A AUSTER V A.O.P.TJ398, OK IT NOT QUITE A HALLIE BUT SHE DID SERVE WITH THE RCAF ? THIS WAS IN 1944 WITH 665 SQD RCAF ATTATCHED TO THE 1ST CANADIAN ARMY? NOW THAT IS AS FAR AS I CAN GO??. IT WAS ONE OF THESE AIRCRAFT THAT DIDNT BELONG TO ANY ONE IF YOU GET WHAT I MEAN, THE STORY STOPS AFTER THE RCAF BROKE IT ??? CAN ANY TELL ME HOW I CAN GET ANY HISTORY OF IT WHEN IT WAS WITH THE RCAF OR THE ARMY ?? AS I HAVE DRAWN A BLANK WITH THE ARMY AIRCORPS MUSEUM AND THE RAF THANKS KARL (E)

If you do a google search under "Air Observation Post Squadrons" + RCAF you will find some hits on the 3 AOP squadrons 664, 665, 666

Looks like they were in operations from Jan/45 to July/45.

hi karl got most of that, trying to get more in to the actual individual ops the army unit it was attached to etc , over here with the army we can get the comanders dairy for the unit etc do you know if its avail for the canadians esp d day onwards for the north west of europe and the 1st army ??? know its a long shot but gotta try ?? thanks karl
