Hello

On reading another post it seems there are a wide variety of photos available.

My wife's father flew Halifaxes for 158 squadron in August 1943 before being shot down over Berlin.

Is it possible anyone has access to a photo of the plane?

Its, HR979 ; NP-L

I doubt very much that the chances are one might exist, but I thought it worth a try. Good wishes and many thanks to all out there who do such a wonderful job in preserving the history of the brave men of Bomber Command.

The plane I understand actually crashed at Oranianburg, NW of Berlin. Based on the experience out there, does anyone think it worthwhile visiting the place to try to find the crash site, and if so what one might find there - given how long ago it all was?
