This A/c Crashed on Dec 20 1942 all Crew Members were Killed.. I have been able to find the Crews Graves...but I need all the info I can get on why this A/C went down.
I entend to make this part of this years Rememberance Day display in the Town of Whitby Ontario if I can get everything together.
I put on the Nov 11th Display here each year..and I want to include this A/C and the Men this year.
Can anyone help out with some info..or tell me where to find it... I am hoping someone in the UK will be able to photo the Graves for me..I will find out later in the week if he can get to the "Boldrf (St John) Churchyard in Hampshire to do it..it is a bit of a drive for him.

Thank you

This Halifax was from 405 Squadron, had 5 RCAF and 2 RAF Crew members..I think it was coming back from a mining operation, but I am not sure.

It seems to me this may have been during the time that part of 405 Sqn was attached to Coastal Command.

W7768 appears to have crashed at Eades Farm on the Isle if Wight but I have no more than that

I have found that much out..and thank you for your response. I have no idea of how to find out anything about War time Crashes..so this is all new to me..I have concentrated on the Army thing for over 30 years..so I need help with this one before Nov 11th.

W7768 Engine cut out on return from an anti-submarine patrol and dived into the ground near Calbourne, Isle of Wight. A/c destroyed by fire.
