Hello
I came across this site by complete chance, while trying to find some information about my late fathers step brother, F/S C.A.Goode ,who i have discovered served with 578 squadron at Burn, and was lost with his plane Halifax MZ513 Lk-K in the early hours of D-Day while bombing a coastal defence battery at mont fleury. He is commemorated at Runnymeade Memorial, but i was wondering if there are any photos of F/S C.A.Goode,the crew and indeed the Halifax that was flown that day,or maybe you could point me in the right direction, for more information about this plane and crew.I also believe that there were some survivors on that morning who were picked up by U.S Navy tank landing craft, those being ,Sgt W.L.Middleton, F/O W.O.Hefferman, F/O E.Onions would you know if they are still alive today. My father always talked about his step brother and i thought it would be fitting for me to find out about cyril for him.
Thank you for taking the time to read this any help would be very much appreciated,i hope to hear from you in the near future.
thank you Tony Meacham.
