Halifax III aircraft 158 Sqn Lissett 1944/45 February 14 2009 at 8:14 AM JonShep (Login JonShep ) from IP address 81.158.76.216
I am a new member researching the Halifax aircraft that were based at Lissett from September 1944 to March 1945.
Code Letters: C,D,H,K,L,N,S,V,U,W,X,Y,Z,Z2
In particular I would like to know what happened to Z ?
The only one I have some knowledge of is Z2 NA221 but I don't know what happened to it after the end of hostilities in europe ?

NA 221 went to 29 MU on 13/5/45 having flown 35 Ops - Its first was as NP-A, the rest as NP-Z

I should have also said that it was scrapped on 14/3/47. It was, as you probably know, named 'Zombie' - the second of the Sqn's aircraft to carry that name
