Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could help with information on Sgt. Andrew McKinnon (1558104)
Whether it is photos or information please contact me.
It is prooving very hard to find information on my late Grandfather (in law) I'm searching on behalf of my husband and his family.
we know he was in the 10 squadron and that he was an Air Gunner in a Halifax Mark3 Bomber, He was part of the crew LM717 "W" - RAF Melbourne and was shot down over France where he was a lone survivor.
I would love it if anybody else had anymore information.

Kind regards,
Kirsty

Not my area of expertise Kirsty but have you tried contacting the 10 Sqn association for more info?. They can be contacted via their website:

http://www.10sqnass.co.uk/

I assume you already have your Grandfather-in-Law's service records?. If not, this link specifically deals with how to obtain them (+ other useful sources of info):

http://www.10sqnass.co.uk/research-help/123-family-history-research.html

His service no. appears in the block 1550001 to 1575000, which I believe indicates that he enlisted in Edinburgh sometime during May 1941.

Regards, Andy
