"South Louisiana" is a seperate port entity from New Orleans. (This is where we have our center in Reserve, LA) The Port of South Louisiana goes from just outside of New Orleans almost to Baton Rouge. The reason it is the largest tonage port is due to the fact that there are several grain elevators in that area. New Orleans is about fourth on the list as far as US ports.

If you look long enough, you can find a statistic that makes you first in something. New Orleans is recognized as the busiest port in the world! (More ships and vessels going through the port than anywhere else.)

Thanks for putting these statistics where we can find them.
