Kids get it

Too bad that's all you understood...kids that play for pride and honour win respect. They elevate their game to gain self respect, they are easier to coach, they learn quicker and turn into a team quicker. End of the day, they win games. I think we have earned a pretty good record this year. It is a philosophy I use, it is not mandated or taught within our organization. I use it because it teaches the kids of the old way...play for pride, earn your respect...I do understand why some people do not get it.

Coaches that have to scream at their kids or make kids run hours of punishment laps are usually hiding behind their inability to motivate them in a positve way. They can't handle losing or learning from it, they are living thru their kids for that one more shot at fifteen minutes of fame.

We pick our coaches based on expercience, skill sets and their ability's...we do not pick coaches that are unqualified to run a practise, a game or a team.

Brampton has had some tough times in the last 10 years in bringing home the amount of Banners we used to. Some educated people might blame the unbelievable growth of lacrosse in other centers, the population explosion in other centres, cricket being the number one growing sport(500%)in Brampton, among many others as reasons for our lack of banners, while the uneducated and scorned person will just blame the organization instead of being a positive influence.

Please place furher comments on this post if you wish...it is used sometimes as a soap box for the negative, uneducated and scorned people in our sport....but I will not respond further.
If you wish, I can be contacted directly if you want to have a conversation in regards to the positive development of Brampton lacrosse.
regards,
Albert
