Alumni Cup

I dont understand how the u16 Alumni Cup works? I always though the winner of the u16 Ontario championship would play in the national championship for the Alumni Cup. But i looked on the Canadian lacrosse website and its already set for Aug 29 to Aug 1 and a team from Ontario is playing. So can someone explain to me how this works?
