U.S. Zone 9 teams

There were 2 minor associations from the U.S. They were the Newtown Minors and the Allegany Minor associations. Each association's teams ranged from Tyke to Intermediate.
Allegany is about 1.5 hrs south of Buffalo
Newtown (Gil Lay Arena) is 0.5 hr. south of Buffalo

To save some travel time for the Canadian Zone 9 teams, the Allegany Association agreed to play all their home games out of Newtown's Gil Lay Arena. Which meant that Allegany had to travel 75 Km (1 hr) to all their home games. These 2 associations never complained about their travel time to come to Canadian centres to play our game.

The OLA complained about having to pay for extra insurance for Canadian refs to cross the border to ref the minor games. As a result, Newtown and Allegany were asked to withdraw from the OLA. Which they reluctantly did.

I am not from Allegany or Newtown.
