broken...?

l can reassure you being a father of goalie,,injuries occur even with the proper equipment.Over the last teen years goalie equipment..has been a hot topic from the ola ..with sizing ,,body contour and most recent branded number sizing.Since bantam l started purchasing his equipment as it was superior to what the center could afford to offer,,my decision was based on my sons own safety,maybe not in everyones budget but at the rep level some of these players at that age really start to come along shot wise.Some like myself people got the shaft a few time ..leg quards a year after purchase became illegal,,l have seen the uppers change probably 3 times,,to a rule...along with all of this and abiding to all the changes and having purchased the best available equipment..my sons first year at Junior tryouts received a broken collar bone from a shot that caught him between the neck and the shoulder padding ...it never entered my mine to sue anyone..there is a certain risk playing this position even with what is suppose to be the right equipment,,,many a night welts,bruising from shots that just hit a certain part of the equipment the wrong way...always check arm length ..but the biggest mistake l witnessed over the years are the goalie gloves and kids wearing ones that dont provide enough protection or that are way to short when they extend their arm out... lm not trying to preach here,,,sorry for this players misfortune...maybe some Good will come from the Ola
