Green Gaels Host Round 2 Opener Against Halton Tomorrow Night!

The Green Gaels are opening up Round #2 of the OLA Junior B playoffs tomorrow evening against the third seed Halton Hills Bulldogs at 8PM at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex.

This will be the sixth year in a row that these two bitter rivals have met in the playoffs. The teams were rotating wins each year until 2011 when the Bulldogs broke that trend, beating the Green Gaels in four games before losing to the Six Nations Rebels in the OLA Junior B Finals.

Both regular season games between these two teams went to Overtime, with the game in Bowmanville ending in a 7-7 tie, and the game in Halton Hills ending with a 10-9 victory for the Bulldogs. Cannot get much more even than that when it comes down to it. Thankfully in playoffs, teams keep on playing until there is a winner so fans should be in for a real treat.

It's no secret these two teams do not like each other and that will not change any time soon. It will be interesting to see how this series plays out and game #1 will give a good indication of what to expect for Games #2 and #3.

Tickets for tomorrow nights game are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, while children 12 and under are admitted free under the supervision of an adult. Kids are reminded to bring their helmets and gloves to go on the floor in between periods.

You won't want to miss this series! Make sure you get out to the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex tomorrow night nice and early! 8PM Start.
