If you appeal your rating and get dropped down, then win the provincials. Did you truly win? As a coach I feel it would be an insult to ask to drop down, granted there are exceptions to every rule. But looking back at past winners that have won the provincials after dropping down I have to ask. Was it truly satisfying or is there an asterisk beside the "win" column? Someone has to be at the top of the group and someone has to be at the bottom of the group. I would think this would make a team strive hard to be at the top and if as a result you are moved up a rank, well done. "A" lax is for sure a true win by any standard.

Just my thoughts, not meant to insult anyone or start a fight.
