the T 98(Chinese) is perfect in all sorts of terrian and i would say it is one of the best tanks ever build.
Unlike the Ariete MBT(Italian) it is just a crappy old tank with outdated tech.

T-98 is great, but PLA has only 300, we need more!

Unfortunately, Italy ordered only 200.

The Ariete really is a powerful tank, it's just that the armor doesn't match up to the quality of like the Leo2A6.

T-98 is as capable as the US M1A1.

yes i do aggree with u but i would not say that it is as good as a M1A2.

In terms of armor and firepower, I would say Type98 is superior. The supposed frontal turret protection of Type98 is about 700~740mm RHA. I believe Ariete falls just behind by small margin.

However, some rumors indicate that China had developed new KE rounds with 700mm penetration capability at 2km. Some say 800mm, but I have to put China's still pretty new metal composition industry into consideration.

This is a VERY simple comparison, without putting FCS, stability and reliability (which I have no idea) into consideration.

My reply: Yes there was some rumors about that but unfortunately the chinese scientist failed to develop this new project because the chinese scientist were not skilled enough to do it or maybe China does not have enough money for this project.
