Real Rock 99.3 presents... THE CAPE ROCK FEST with Windup Recording Artist DUST FOR LIFE, and special guests DRIvIN' RAIN, EMACIATION, and FROGSWEAT at OUR HOUSE NIGHT CLUB in Downtown Cape Girardeau Missouri.

Dust for Life was born in December of 1999 when Chris Gavin and Jason Hughes
were introduced by mutual friend and current agent, Carol Snodgrass.

They quickly formed a bond mutually liking artists like Black Sabbath and Alice
In Chains. They decided to form DFL and wrote 15 songs over that winter.
Josh Weil and Rick Shelton rounded out the lineup. In April 2000, Dust went
to Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN with co producer/engineer, Pete Matthews,
ostensibly to record "demos." What they came out with was : "Step into the
Light," "Dirt into Dust," "Dragonfly," " and "Where the Freaks Go."
"I remember getting the songs and overnighting them to Jeff Hanson (manager
of CREED) and him calling us flipping out," says Jason Hughes. Dust for Life
never looked back. They quickly signed with Hanson MGMT and Wind_Up records
and finished the debut disc in June 2000 at Ardent.

In August 2000, the band joined CREED on the road as a support act with Dave
Rhea, from the Von Ray (Elektra) on bass. They spent the whole fall that
year touring with 3 Doors Down and Nickelback and COLD. Step into the Light
got an unprecedented 48 ads at radio the first week including KROQ in New
York and KROQ in L.A. Step was eventually played on 338 radio stations
simultaneously while reaching #10 on Billboard's Active Rock charts. "We
had a really good band and great songs, but we were also lucky to be there,"
said Chris Gavin. The band garnered rave reviews and was featured in Hit
Parader, Circus Magazine, Metal Edge ,Guitar One, and Guitar for the Practicing
Musician just to name a few. Dust for life even appeared as guest hosts on
VH1's ,The Rock Show.

"Seed" was released as the second single in the spring of 2001 and even
without any push from the Label it went in to Billboard's Top 40 of Active
Rock songs. The band toured throughout the spring and played shows with
Linkin Park, Lifehouse, FUEL, Stone Temple Pilots, and Tenacious D, just to
name a few. Then, in May of 2001, the wheels came off. The band found out that all of
its "untouchable " publishing money had been spent frivolously by the
involved parties. They came out publicly with what happened and why they
were off tour in the middle of the record cycle in what Chris and Jason
would later call "the smartest dumb move we ever made." The band promptly
released Hanson MGMT ,Flood Bumstead, McCready and McCarthy , and The Agency
Group from their roster. Shortly afterwards, Rick Shelton left Dust for
fame and fortune in Lava/Atlantic band, Course of Nature. Jason, Josh and
Chris soldiered on through 2 more tours and many new songs that they thought
might never see the light of day. The bad business eventually took its toll
on the guys and the band has been "on break" until now.

In July of 2003, Chris and Jason shared song ideas and decided that it was
time to dust off the guitars. With Rick making the second Course record and
Josh busy managing the breakfast bar at the Radisson Hotel in downtown
Memphis, Chris and Jason recruited young guns, Mike McSorley on bass and
Steve McClenaghan on drums. "They have brought a whole new dynamic to the
group and they have that untainted enthusiasm that really gives the new
songs a lift," says Jason.

The band's song "2Y2K (Too Young To Kill)" was featured on the CITY OF ROSES ROCKS 2000 CD and the band has been heard on various radio stations around the midwest. In 2001 DRIvIN' RAIN released the CD ~LIMITED~ saleing like hotcakes the band could not print them fast enough. DRIvIN' RAIN has been featured on several TV music shows, webzines, and national newspapers. And with the release of their forthcoming CD "BLOW UP YOUR RADIO" on Vaults Of Karma Records, the bands visibility will only increase. However untill then the band has a "LIVE & LIMITED" CD on sale now. It was recorded at POPS in St. LOUIS and features 11 tracks from the show, and two full color picture discs. Since the bands birth in 1994, DRIvIN' RAIN has done extensive touring and performing on the same stage with the likes of Jim Dandy's BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, SAXON, NAZARETH, EDDIE MONEY, John Kay & STEPPENWOLF, TORA TORA, HEAD EAST, MOLLY HATCHET, PAT TRAVERS, REVIS, LEE OSKAR (of WAR), RUFUS THOMAS, BLACKFIRE, NO ONE, HELLBOUND, PAT SAVAGE BAND, THE JIMMIE VANZANT BAND, THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS, DUST FOR LIFE, DIRTY DEEDS, and others. DRIvIN' RAIN members have also hung out with some of the biggest names in Hard Rock and Metal. With over 10 years of non stop rock, DRIvIN' RAIN is hotter than ever. For years DRIvIN' RAIN has been lucky enough to find support within the Biker Community, doing shows for The Hell's Angels MC, The Southside Crew MC, The Maddogs MC, Nomads 81 MC, The ElForasteros 1%ers, Saddles Tramps MC, Free Spirits MC, Iron Sleds MC, Dixie Riders MC, Statesmen MC, The Stormriders MC, Freebirds MC, Illinois ABATE, Bikers 4 Kids, Missouri Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse, and many others. They also play at many Biker Rallies across the midwest throughout the summer. "We support all our biker brothers and sister, and we thank you all for the years of support and love. DRIvIN' RAIN will always be here for you."
The band DRIvIN' RAIN has rocked non-stop for almost 10 years. And in that time that have preformed for millions of people. They have been setting afire cross the Midwest with their grass roots Rock N Roll Revival. DRIvIN' RAIN has toured in support of legendary Metal and Rock bands, sold hundreds of CDs, and thousands of T-Shirts. All with out the help of Radio and Record Label support. they've been doing it the old school way. Town to town, gig to gig, person to person. DRIvIN' RAIN is the alternative to Alternative. If all you want to do is scream a little, dance a little, and rock a little, DRIvIN' RAIN is the band for you. Their original songs "Evolution Of Sex", "A Law Against Me", "Cracks In The Armor", "A Downward Spin", "Hellwater","Tear Drop in the Rain", "Toys For The Witches", "Nail In My Coffin", "Radio", "Too Young To Kill (2Y2K)", "Last Days", "The Mainstream Is Polluted", "Get Lucky", "Goodbye", along with the radio hit "Drivin' Rain". Will be released on their next CD "The Mainstream Is Polluted" late 2004, from Vaults Of Karma Records. The band will then hit the road for the winter leg of their RADIO ASSUALT TOUR. The band is crossing the U.S. to urge people to blow up their radios! With the simple idea that radio sucks. It has become commercial radio. Radio only plays what the Record labels want you to buy. They over look rock bands, and instead put Pop bands and cloned Grunge acts into heavy rotation. The record labels, MTv, and Radio has ignored an entire generation of Rockers. Leaving us out in the cold with nothing new to buy. So DRIvIN' RAIN is here to fill that void. By bringing a new generation their right to rock! And to remind the world that you can't stop rock n roll. The new age of ROCK is here, and DRIvIN' RAIN is ready to take it on. The band is currently working on their Debut full length C.D. It'll be released SUMMER 0f 2004 and will feature 13 driven hard rock songs! The band says that the new music will go off like a hand grenade in a shopping mall. DRIvIN' RAIN is presently shoping record labels in the hopes to find one company with the balls to handle a true Rock N Roll band. Then a nation wide release of the bands new CD. The rest of this year will see the Raingang in the studio, on the road, headlining their own show, on TV, at festivals, and opening for some of their national friends across the country. The boys are here to show that the Midwest still has something to say. To let the world know that Hard Rock still lives. And to once again prove, that no force made by man can stop the DRIvIN' RAIN!!

Also at this show is Emaciation. The concept of Emaciation was spawned in early 1996 when Kirby Ray , founder & guitarist/ vocalist wanted to take some of the members of his group from that time, Gikk, to the next level & play more intense metal than Gikk was turning out . Missouri based members Kirby Ray & Gikk drummer Stu Farris focused on more brutal metal, back to basics metal songs . The reason for this was to bring back old school influences to the modern form of the band & to be as intense as possible . Some line up changes happened between 1997 & 2000 . The current one being the best according to the band . The true concept of the band is to create the heaviest sound possible with classical & metal influences . The band embraces old school techniques, as not to forget the best sounding metal styles . Although, by adding their own styles their sound is very original . The band has played only very few shows, dispite their following . Emac has been invited to play at many of the world's best metalfests such as Dynamo festival in Holland, Wacken fest, & Milwaukee Metalfest . Label interest has been expresed from Century Media Records & the band is eager to work with them . Emac was voted one of the top six bands of the annual City Of Roses Music Fest in Cape Girardeau, MO by the ticket holders to the yearly outdoor event . See them live to experience the theatrical part of their show, like Flute intros with member antics on stage, & females dancers with blood letting & such human acts ! The band wears corpse paint on their faces to heighten the passion of metal & out of respect for the most ripping bands on earth which happen to be black metal groups in the opinion of the members.

and opening the show is FROGSWEAT. FROGSWEAT is a four piece teen band from Cape Girardeau, Missiouri. Their style is melodic hard rock, mixed with Punk and metal. The bands live shows are very alive and highly energetic. Since forming Frogsweat in mid 2002, the band has been hard at work constently writing new material and booking shows. They started out opening for some of Cape's hottest bands, like TRIBALDUST, DRIvIN' RAIN, and EMACAITION and quickly began building a strong and loyal local following. Fans of groups like P.O.D., DEFTONES, THE USED, AFI, SLOTH, and other NU-PUNK/Metal acts will love this band. Their young and wild stage shows will get the entire crowd up and jumping. The band has preformed at many Festival around the mid-west. FROGSWEAT focus is on it's original music however they are not afraid to toss in a few covers. FROGSWEAT only hopes the best for the future. There dream is to just keep writing music and pleasin' their fans along the way, hopefully shooting towards success in the near future. FROGSWEAT is Daniel Seabaugh- vocals, Chase Wright- guitar, J.J. Seabaugh- Bass guitar, and Josh "Oueentencuntin" Keusenkothen- drums.
