I too have the 272/284....its runs quite well, but I have read opinions and suspect the energizer that is 222/222 @.050 would idle just as well and the power would be stepped up (plus it uses the same springs )


Im swapping out my 2V perf for an xcelerator next spring.

same specs as mine except for the rockers, mine are standard. i run a 219/219@50 and .505 lift cam. comes alive about 2500 thru to 5000.
any guesses as to how much f/wheel hp?

I would say my engine was probably somewhere in the 330hp range, yours is probably around there but a bit less i would suspect. Torque is somewhere around 350-360 i would guess. Good power, but it wasn't enough for me. I am in the process of repairing the mustang and then putting in a 4v headed engine that will be good for around 425hp and 400tq.
