I built and dyno'd this motor last year or so. It dyno'd 498 HP at 6800 RPM.
Aussie Cleveland 4 bolt block. No main girdle or anything. Good prep work on the block, including line hone and decking it square.
Stone stock 4M crank, 10/10
Eagle H-beam stock length rods
NOS TRW pop up pistons for closed chamber heads
Compression was around 11.5, but don't remember exactly
Ultradyne solid flat tappet cam. Just under .600 lift. The Ultradyne website is down, so I don't have the part number. But it is the only one that fits the above discription.
Absolutely no porting of any kind on the heads. Just used the MPG intake port plates, and standard low buck head prep. Did not use the exhaust plates, however. No trick multi angle valve job or anything. But I did use titanium valves.
Holley Strip Dominator carb
Holley 850 DP carb
Hooker big tube headers
Stock volume oil pump (milodon)
no oil restrictors
Mels ignition blueprinted stock distributor, with Pertronix firing an MSD 6AL
Mechanical fuel pump
This engine ran great, and pulled strong. I sold the Shortblock to a fellow forum member in the Dallas area. Never heard back from him. Hope it is doing well.
Dan
