These are the specs of my current 351c that is pushing my 3,505lb (Aussie) XC Fairmont GXL in to the 11's.It runs 11.92 at 112mph with a 1.62 60ft but I'm hoping the times will fall further with some more fine tuning.
.030 1970 block with forged flattops and Childs and Albert file backs.
standard prep on crank and rods with chamfered oil holes.
Boss 351 balancer.
10.18:1 comp
4v c/chamber heads, no port or chamber mods.
Stainless valves, Ultradyne Tripple springs (from my old Ultradyne cam)
Manley 3/8 pushrods and guideplates.
A mixture of BRC and Yella Terra roller rockers (BRC's break)and are getting replaced slowly.
Cam is a C.O.M.E racing solid, 238/248@.050 .541/.570 lift with 112cl.
induction is a Torker, cleaned up plenum, with a homemade 1 inch bakerlite 4 hole spacer. The carby is my trusty 25 year old 800d/p, 1/2inch line, blue pump runs on unleaded with octane booster.
Ignition is a (don't laugh)Accel dual point with a MSD 6A
I also use a Mr Gasket evacuation system and tri-y type pipes. I ran it in on a engine dyno and it put out 426hp@6100rpm and 396lb torque at 5000 but still with 370Ft-Lbs at 2900 rpm (thats the main trick)
I also use the origional FMX and 9inch that came with the car. I use a 2600rpm stall converter. The diff is standard 28 spline with ford 4.11's
I know this combo is not the latest trend or anything trick but it's been my experiance over many years bracket racing that the setup and tuning of the car is much more important than whatever trick parts you run. Hope this helps some one with there setup and if I can help with a bit of advice I certainly will.

Nice ride, thanks for that John. Its good to know my recently purchased cc 4Vs should be good for 11's untouched.
I have a GXL Fairmont XC as well, slightly hotted up 351 toploader 9inch. Its currently got 2V's with 4V exhaust valves, Street Terra rockers, Wieand Xcellerator manifold with 1inch spacer, 4into1 pacemakers 750dp holley and one chunky Waggott custom grind cam. It happily revs to 7k, makes good power from about 3k. Got 4.11s and 275/50R15s on the back. I am going to my first drag race on Friday 23rd. Should be interesting.
Have you set the pinion angle on your diff? My car is going into a suspension shop on Tuesday to fix my diff hop problem and he can set the pinion angle for me if I can tell him what I want it at. Any suggestions?
Chris have a look at the Calvert Racing web site "calvertracing.com" & this should give you some help with the rear end. I am running Caltracs on my XF Ute & all my axle hopping & uni breaking problems are sorted & it's so easy to fit I wish I had done it many broken diffs ago.
Steve
I was just wondering if you could share your suspension setup (any traction aids or anything, drag shocks, etc.) and what kind of tires you are using (width, height, type of tire, etc.). Your combo is fairly close to the one I am building up (although mine is a 1972 mustang). My car should be coming in at about the same weight, a bit smaller hydro cam than your solid, a higher stall converter, and 3.50:1 gears (heh, I can live with slippage, just not really high rpm on the highway). I expect my combo to do high 12s (the suspension is not entiry setup up for drag racing) while still maintaining streetability.
