This is my engine as fitted to my 69 xw falcon ute.
*Block is 2 bolt torque plate bore and hone to 40th.
*Crank is stock 10th under micropolished with standard rods and acl duralite flat top with moly rings.
*cam is a mild crower 224/224 at 50th with 502 lift! part #21686 dial 4deg advanced.
*jp dual row timing chain set.
Bolt on street terra roller rockers add a bit of reliability.
*Heads are open chamber chamber 2v with 1pc 4v valves hardened exhaust seats. a mild pocket port job and blending to 4v valve size makes these heads a cheap setup!
A 9.2/1 comp means it should run on any fuel wherever i can get it!
a 780vac sec holley atop an edelbrock performer feeds the old girl i know the carbs a bit big but was all i had at the time!
A standard oilpump pumps out of a 5ltr baffled sump as it doesnt see big revs very often no other oil system mods were done!
so far a holley mech hivol fuel pump has kept me out of trouble as it does get a bit thirsty if the throttle gets leaned on too hard!!
getting the gasses out is 1 7/8in triys and a twin 2in system
*The driveability of this combo has even surprised me!! its got awesome torque from 15-1600 rpm and pulls very strong to around 5700! A single plate clutch fronts a toploader with 3-25 to 1 9in!
