I hope that everyone will listen to what I am about to say because it changed my whole way of thinking about the monster. First of all....it WAS real. Second of all,the movie completely destroyed some peoples lives in real life.....Smokey Crabtree & his family & friends. The writer and director of the movie were thieves & liers. I met Smokey Crabtree - Very nice man & VERY genuine and honest. I bought his books & in those books he tells the REAL truth about what his son saw....yes, it was the monster, but the best way to hear about it is in the book NOT the movie. Actually, after reading Smokey's book, I'm ashamed that I bought the movie & supported those producers after what they did to those nice people. It's well worth a trip to Fouke Arkansas to meet Smokey & buy his books - he's a great person!
