Many boys from the GTHL, OMHA, ODMHA and SCTA are over shadowed, over looked on a regular basis. Scouts and agents flock to all the games to watch one player and one player only. All eyes and conversation is all about that one player, good or bad.
Unless that boy truly, truly has a phenominal game to pull the eyes and attention away from the "Chosen One" they came to watch, they are all just another player on the ice.
I've seen games where no-name players, are never given the time of day, after playing a phenominal game, game in and game out they are just not the talk.
Smart scouts will see the "underrated" players. After all, once you get past the top 40 or 50 players there are still another 250 to be drafted so those guys will get their chance. Work hard and don't worry about the hype players around you may be getting. In alot of cases it is just that, hype.
Na i played with him in Halton, he had to be released from Guelph (injury couldn't try out), requested a release from Halton (coach is a syco). He was the lucky one that got away. Good luck in the OMHA's
TL ; comments about your guy, coming from an ip where you live; everyone figures it out; and its even worse when you sign on from work. stop it man, everyone knows, and it just hurts you & him.
I do not think Ruberto is underrated. In fact he is somwhat overrated. He works hard, but no to effective. Has difficulty scoring or perhaps he like most Hamilton players are suffering from the coaching tactics employed on this the Hamilton team.
HEY # 207 210 42 113 a little sour about this weekend , maybe your son missed a few shifts, your the one that also said the coach messed this team up, your a ahole,Every kid worked their asses off and deserve credit the only one way player on this team is you cry baby little boy!! give it up and be thankful for a great season you jerk.Dont forget everyone has a IP number.
I apologise for the email above. I was extremley upset at the time and was venting in the wrong place.Ruberto is in fact an excellent player who works hard each and every game. When provided with oppurtunities he finishes as well as creates chances for his team mates.
My son plays on this team as well. I was upset do to the fact my son was held of the ice for most of the scta finals. He sat while 3 - 4 AP'S were played in his place. This I feel was wrong. However I was the one who in fact was wrong as I vented at someone who was not the reason for my son not playing. This was 1 of 2 posts that I saw regarding this team and I sent out a quick response that was wrong as I was angry at the time.
I did not think at the time that it would be read by the player himself and I do regret this. I in no way wanted him or his family to see this. I was upset with the coach and his lack of support for my son.
rebels were the most underrated team i believe. No one knows most of these players and these "unknowns" gave the icedogs a run for there money in the playoffs and made it to the quarters in the ohl cup. Players such as beaumont, carnavale, bennet, purcell, phillips, and shumate should be noted of
Santini from the icedogs has to be 1 of them very dangerous around the net and very smart player ,also had the most points in regular season for his team...
I am neither. I am from York Simcoe and and I was commenting on players that are under rated! If you got a couple of names then comment on them or shut up!
this is who i honestly think are underated..some are unheard of but do the little things to make each shift successful for there team while these players our on the ice. They may not have the "dangles" but are smart and do the little things that fans may not notice but scouts sure do

About the Andreoff thing. I can name you 1 or 2 on several teams, that if given the right coach, confidence, etc.... they would emerge as a common name .
Too many coaches this year fukked kids over for their own. Stripped them of ice team, and confidence.
Problem with midget is the dual age. Think it was major mistake from the powers that be. They are trying to keep kids in hoxkey and midget, but in fact they are pushing out the door.
1. Combining midget years
2. Moving the draft year/age ( too young, not developed)
3. Limit on how many "91" can play Junior A,B,C
4. Not enough spots in midget, too many kids not enough spots and teams
5. Politics push kids out, coaches kids, friends kids playing where they shouldn't, thus taking a spot from a qualified kid.
Kids quit because they are not drafted or have no COMPETITIVE team to play for. AA, just isn't good enough for a player with the years and ability of AAA.
How about the Outlaw league? Restrictions on how many 1991's they can roster? Perhaps an option.
