Any guess who will win the Alliance title this year? Should be close games and good hockey- Good luck to everyone as the scouts will be watching! Both teams deserve to be in this one.

Possibly the best player in this whole age group is Latta, and theres at least 10 others in this series that will go in the draft. Scouts have been out in droves all season wathing these guys. Cambridge doesn't have the speed toughness or scoring punch to match and Ruby always outshines Maxwell. Waterloo 4 straight.

Cambridge has more speed than Waterloo ever had!It will take more than that to beat Waterloo, but goaltending edge goes to Cambridge.

Re: Alliance Final

Waterloo has a little more depth on D and alot more creativity and toughness in their Fwds. Maxwell is great on the 1st save but needs to get better post to post and in his recovery during scrambles. It really is his series to steal but his team needs to start putting more than 1-2 past Ruby each game. Tall order Cambridge good luck to both teams.

If Windsor had Maxwell they sweep Waterloo,,,Ruby stands on his head in game one ,,they sqeeze one out in OT game#2 and Windsor goalies can't stop a beach ball game#3 (7-5).
Cambridge in 6 cause of Maxwell,,,,Even Chatham would have a chance with him in the pipes.

Cambridge is suprising me but its not coaching that is making the difference thats one of the dumbest things i have ever heard maybe making a bit of a difference but Cambridge is a good team this should not be too shocking to people I still put my money on Waterloo in this series especially if they win the next one

Re: Alliance Final

March 11 2007, 11:49 PM

Cambridge has a set powerplay a set penalty kill they know who is on against who at all times and they all know Waterloo inside and out from the tapes. The Hawks just seem to know what their roles are. Waterloo is playing call ups on there powerplays, 4th liners on there PK and they have no strategy to combat the Cambridge coaches line matching tactics. Cambridge just looks more prepared, and yes better coached. Waterloo looks lost.

Re: Alliance Final

March 16 2007, 10:04 PM

Maxwell was in net for the first two periods gave up 4 and 1 or 2 softies and then the other guy let in 2 in the third. No offence but to the person who said maxwell played well in the 4-4 must have not seen the game correctly or had bad viewing of the game he did let in a floater from the blueline where a stick lieing down on the ice probably could have stopped it. And lowry hasnt been very good ethier he hasn't done anything to exceptional in this series so far. Ellis and Dourghty have both been very steady loggin major minutes they have impressed me. Latta has some skating problems but has unbelievable hands and a great scoring scense you cant teach. Ruby was weak in the 4-4 tie but Williams played solid in the win just what waterloo needed. Who won tonight should be interesting to hear the final outcome?
