Weak crop for 2007 draft

Having spoken to a few ohl scouts, they have all stated that this year's crop is weak compared to last year. The first two rounds will be all 1991's but afterwards is anyone's guess. I imagine that some 1990's will also be drafted. Not trying to discourage anyone, just passing on what I have been told. With what I heard, I think several 1990's will be picked ahead of 91's after the first few rounds.

Having spoken to a few ohl scouts? You have spoken to any scouts, you have no friends, you have no life. You must be a 90 parent who's son is working at Burger King. Its ok buddy, maybe he will get drafted this year......oh wait he has never worked out.........he blamed the coach, you blamed the coach now its time for revenge. Come on Network and bash the 91's. Do you feel better now?

Difference is not so much a lack of skill, but a lack of exceptionally gifted skaters.

I've got news for you. The '92 and '93 players are pretty much the same as the '91 crop. Cream at the top and thins out after that. Like in business, smart investors buy in the down cycle of an economy. The hockey economy (so-to-speak) will present a void in 2-3 years. You see its the '91, '92' and '93's that will be replenishing the Junior stock eventually, if hockey is your passion. The real money is in a down cycle, so get your degree's in Finance.

You should take that Titanium Whip and shove it up Angry Nam (man spelled backwards, as in Vietnam Veteran). The .182. post at least offers up information, useful or not.

What a great response! I simply shared what some OHL scouts told me and a whole bunch of you get defensive.
Personally I really do not care if you child is a 90 or 91. I was sharing some insight. If you take what I posted that seriously, you need some help. People, the kids will determine their destiny eventually on their own without financing or promoting. Relax! It is just hockey! Too many parents still buy into the fact their kid is the next one. They have a better chance of doing well in school! What a bunch of uneducated morons!!!!

This happens EVERYWHERE. Has happened, is happening, will happen and continue to happen.

Don't worry. Give the scouts some credit. Believe me, scouts and agents know EXACTLY whats going on.

They listen not only to the self serving manager promoting his son, while dissing players that are competeing directly with his son, they listen to the parents, in the stands, standing beside them and out in the hall way and in the smoking lounge.

THEY KNOW!!!! They have been doing this along time and have seen everything.

No 91's are good enough to make the 90's Team Ontario. Many 90's could have made the '89 team.

The dispute over who is going number 1?

They cannot come close tp Stamkos or Travares.

Its a WEAK year, stated so by OHL executive yesterday.

I found it interesting that there was only one player named to the recent Canadian U-18 team who spent more than 1 year in the GTHL. Casey Cizikas.

Ellis, Hall, Duchene, O'Reilly, O'Hagan, Doherty, Kassian all spent the majority of their careers outside the GTHL.

Is this telling everyone anything?????

oh yeah theyre so friggin bad everyone, the u 18 team has won gold in every tourney theyve been in, and theyre loaded with 91's like duchene o'reilly hall and others. you are pretty stupid to think its overall weak. just cuz the 90's have a few huge names doesnt mean overall their draft was better, its about the overall crop of players with skill throughout the draft
