It is a money grab with the GTHL.
In the OMHA it is a money grab, ransacking, piracy, theft, burglary, rape & pillaging.
It takes the OMHA 6 camps to reach the same point in selection as it takes the GTHL to do in one camp. That would be another $60,000 riughly. |

Of course I am not included, I have hemorrhoids older than 17.
Okay maybe this will make you feel better.
The under 17s are the most awesomest. Everyone of them are superstars that will make it to the NHL. They just need the 340 OMHA kids in camps to be able to evaluate & choose their representatives properly.
Hockey Canada, the OHF, the OHL, OMHA, GTHL etc., etc dont make any money off of these programs or the world Junior programs. None of these leagues would be able to foot the bill to have an under 17 camp for the 70-80 kids who will may be chosen to represent them in the future.

The OMHA is a joke. Other than 3 camps, I would not guess that there would be more than 5 players that deserve to make it to Guelph. The Southpoint camp has more AA players and A players than AAA. collingwood is the same. the sad fact is that there will be a total of 30 players coming from these two camps who do not deserve to be there. The Peterborough camp is the most difficult with all AAA players. Georgetown and Leemington will come in second. these Camps will be loaded with Burlington, Niagara, Hamilton and Brampton kids. Out of the SCTA, these 4 teams could produce a very good team along with the Peterborough camp. yes there are some players, mabey 10 from the other 12 teams but bottom line, these two camps should be producing most of the kids going to Guelph. And yes my kid will be at one of the camps and will not make it past. We both know that, but I would like to see some other talented kids get the chance in Guelph. |

What happens after this week-end? How many kids are left in the GTHL? How soon do we know who made it to the next round? How are you notified?
Any body with experience from previous years knows the answers? Thanks |
