yea thats why in the GTHL U17 Patrick Mceachen was not a shoe in to be picked...he was on the black team and they won it and look at him now...if they see a team winning like the black team the evaluators will break down every component of the team and look where the success is coming from |

who cares, it is just one big joke. The Central Ontario goalies are split btn Peterborough and Collingwood. Out of simcoe and Southpoint there are only 3 AAA goalies. All I can say is that there will be a lot of crappy players at the final camp in Guelph. Only 9 players from niagara make the camp. Way to many AA players around. Look at the GTHL final roster and I cannot see 15 from the OMHA touching that group. |

who cares who makes it to guelph when it all comes down to it only 1st and 2nd rounnders ever make the team and just so u kno when a AAA isnt as good as a A,BB ect goalie at the camp or even anyways the evaluators aren't just gonna say oh but he plays AAA we have to take him. |

What happened to parsnips from Brampton |
|
Anonymous (no login) 24.57.242.43 | Re: under 17 | April 19 2007, 10:50 PM |
its all a money grab .... in 1st set of camps 5 OMHA gets $80,000 and 15 + 2 go from each to OMHA final camp in Guelph. Of the 85 it gets narrowed down (13 + 1) to the Ontario selection camp. Will there be any surprises possibly .... maybe 1 guy .... so for the rest their parents (read daddies) are paying $$$ for a short term ego ride. All this so that the AA ranked/OHL destined lads can be selected in the Ontario camp.

The Collingwood camp had HL, AE,A,AA players invited, while omitting AAA players THAT should of been there.
Damn straight it is a joke and a money grab. |

I was on mind to muscle had a good squad. Gorecki and Raine played good the whole time. McFadden and Flemming played good together the whole tourney. Up front Gibson and Randell played good together worked hard. Macdonald got a couple nice goals and worked hard. Veerman was a tough kid playing through a bad shoulder. and myself and everyone else did good too. Fun Weekend. |

Does anyone know which kids from the Georgetown Camp advanced? It was a pretty tough field of kids. To me the goalies were the toughest to chose from. |

Good choices (How could you go wrong!) Although, I thought McGirr from Brampton played outstanding too!
Any news on D and F? |

Have heard rumours that over half those moving on are from Brampton. Any truth or speculation as to who they might be? |
|
Anonymous (no login) 141.119.184.10 | Re: Anyone know who went through to Guelph? | April 23 2007, 3:14 PM |
There is certainly no disrespect towards the Brampton players, however they did have the largest contingent of players attending the Georgetown Camp. I also believe they had the largest number of players, as a Team from the OMHA, on the Draft List. Therefore, all arrows point towards them when the choices were made and it would make sense that they would be well represented. |

|
Anonymous (no login) 64.229.115.74 | Re: Anyone know who went through to Guelph? | April 23 2007, 6:48 PM |
O'Hagen is the best in the SCTA. Remember it is not how many goals you let in, it is more about everything as a package. Overall, O'hagen has the complete package. This in no way disses Gorecki who played very well all weekend and showed he deserved to be there. |
