Simcoe camp a pure joke.April 23 2007 at 1:15 PM | Anonymous (no login) from IP address 24.215.50.105 |
| This all came down to who's got connections
the 2 forwards and 2 defencemen that didn't make it were all 4 of
the best players in this camp.
Forwards:
-Riley Sheahan
-Marcus Ruberto
Defencemen:
-Tyrell Wilson
-Mitch Butler
its funny cause all 4 of these players could easily get drafted and
be a big asset to that team in a year or 2.

Simcoe sounds like Collingwood, and apparently Southpoint.
Collingwood advancers were boys whos fathers are coaches or good ole boys from Barrie, Wasaga, Stayner. |

Guys, let's be real here. The entire process is driven by individuals with an agenda, whatever that may be. There will be significant influence made by those with connections to OHL teams albeit to scouts, coaches, GM's, whatever. I'm sure the OHL teams would all like to see the players THEY intend on drafting be at the Final selection Camp. I heard from a reliable source that the real decisions will be made after May 5th . . . for the reasons sited above.
The feedback I have received from the various Camps, including the GTHL and Alliance Camps, was that there were many players left off the selection that should have moved on.
All you boys out there who played your hearts out at your Camp on the weekend and made the cut, congratulations and good luck! For those of you who didn't, congratulations for being a competitor and a great athlete. You'll all have your day as long as you don't quit on yourself. Be proud of your efforts and good luck on May 5th!!!! |
