I know this is not 1991 stuff, but interesting nonetheless. I wonder if this public statement would have been issued had the the parent not been a celebrity.

No, but they were forced to make a statement, they did the right thing, he has changed teams and apologized to the former org and is now suing LM who deserves it.

Domi is absolute idiot. This was not an isolated incident as his track record will atest. The GTHL should have taken the opportunity to ban this knuckle head while the had the chance. I hope it is not too late for some unsuspecting coach in the very near future.

The coach involved (Miller) is gone despite winning the championship and there is at least one law suit pending so hardly the minor incident as the gthl has made it out to be. Also if Domi apologized how can he be suing if he has already admitted fault in the matter? There is much more hidden away in this situation. Typical gthl response though...cover it up and give preference to high profile former nhl players and the like (they can do anything they like whereas if it were anybody else, they would be banned). The Marlies are at fault too; they push out their winning coach so that NHL goon Domi will be happy and continue to bring in nice sponsorship as well as keeping his Marlie buddies (Steve Thomas?) happy in the Marlies organization.

there is much more to ths coach's dismissal than this Domi situation - lots of issues - this one was just the straw everyone knows about.
