the jrcs had 4 powerplay goals and the ref disallowed one of the rebles goals when the score was still 1-1. why was mcewan playing forward this game. who was missing.

The Rebels were coming off a sleeper against the Nats and were missing a couple of players. Factor in the D'Orazio situation (former JC goalie) playing for the Rebels and you have the recipe for the result that transpired.

Chalk it up as an aberration, last week the JC's lost to Nats and Don Mills. Had they beaten the Reps the day before or put up a better fight against them you could begin to say they have turned the corner.

Game was 1-1 with a couple of minutes to go in the 2nd and the Canadiens had a 5 on 3 and scored. In the 3rd a rebels D gave the puck away in front of the net and Murman pounced on it to go up 3-1
They added one more powerplay goal and then an open net to finish it off.Canadiens played a very good game with the powerplay getting 4 in total.Dont think the Rebels coach could do much about the penalties and his two best players missing?

I'm sure no other coach has ever had such a traumatic experience.

rebels were missing best defencemen in cowan and best forward in bennet..
cowans good for stopping a goal a game.. bennets good for producing a goal. momentum shift would have changed the game a lot.
canadians played well but theres no way they should be beating the rebels 5-1

Wow missing Bennett & Cowan, there's a couple of game breakers. Which Dad are you? My guess is Bennett, Cowan isn't as stupid.

Merman? If he's so good why hasn't he stepped up and won more games? He's a great player, but not good enough to win more than a game or two on his own all season.

Individuals don't win games, teams do. Especially at this level where the playing field is far more even than in previous years, someone can have a great effect on the outcome of the game, but its hard for one guy to take over a whole game singlehandedly. If someone was good enough to do that in Midget they'd already be on the first bus to junior.

I'm guessing Mandrik wrote this about himself and the group??? He's getting a little more creative in these posts. Doesn't mention just himself anymore, he includes others in the group as well. Clever. Not.

Now what Rebels?

December 2 2007, 6:10 PM

So what is the excuse this weekend?

Outcoached? Players getting tired of playing second fiddle to the favourites? Coaches favourites are not very good? ****ty team? Coach was overcome with emotions seeing so many Italians in Hamilton? What does team mean?

Hamilton Tourney

MISSISSAUAGA REBELS 4 OAKVILLE 5

ST. CATHARINES 3 MISSISSAUGA REBELS 2

WINDSOR 5 MISSISSAUGA REBELS 2

St. Catherines has only won 2 games in league play & are in 9th place. How embarassing.

looks like they like to keep the games close. no matter they're playing a very good oakville team or a poor st. cathrines team. then a saturday night game when they are already out.. they prolly just wanted to get out of there.
sorry to burst your bubble mr. negativity
