Kitchener, ON: Rangers Head Coach and General Manager Peter DeBoer announced today that the Kitchener Rangers have signed Michael Catenacci, their 8th round selection pick in the 2007 OHL Draft.

2007-08 - Markham Waxers Tier II (Junior 'A'), 26-11-7-18, 8 PIM

Is he on the team then for this year?

I thought he was going NCAA> What happened there? Why give up a full scholarship to join a stacked team?

Do not understand this move. Kitchener is a power house with veterans. Is he going to take a veteran's position - highly unlikely. What was all this talk about going NCAA or is it a case of monkey see, monkey do after Erlich signing with London.

werek is not the only one left of the 91's going NCAA. MCEachen also has a full ride at Maine I believe.

I don't know how much longer his dad can watch other players doing well in the OHL while his son is playing Tier 2. I just don't see the education as being the priority right now, getting drafted to the NHL is!

not sure how good this player is but changing his mind from NCAA to OHL when he is only 5'6, he better be an unbelievable player or NCAA would probably be the way to go, plus I cant see him getting much ice time with Kitchener. He doesnt seem to be lighting up the tier II junior so not sure what the rush to jump up into the OHL especially with kitchener

kitcheners best player is 5'6" but next year kitchener will be in need of players so maybe next year he'll cash in

Kitchener has six 1988 born players and two 1987 born players on their current roster. How many 1988 born players are you allowed to carry on the roster next season? Anyone know?

an ohl team can dress up to 3 OA's in any game. but can only dress 2 after Jan 10.

What year do you have to be born to be an overager next season?

for this season they are the 87's

for the 2008/09 season the OA's are 1988's
