i'm surprised at the decline in posts here relative to last year. cause the draft has come and gone?
or, more specifically: maybe most of the posts (and most of the crap) was generated by those who have moved on to the junior ranks? or, who packed it in after minor midget? |

Lou Francheschetti is the disaster of the year. This is the same guy who told everyone who would listen, "...Tom Baker knew nothing about hockey." TB at least knew how to pick a team and keep them at or near the top of the loop. Tom's son could carry his load on the PP where Lou's son couldn't. Tom also knew what a "time out" was, Lou didn't. The only "timeout" that occured was when the ref needed time to calm Lou down as he would be yelling obsenities at parents in the stands almost on a game-in game-out basis. And on one occasion, climbed up in the stands to attack a parent(s).
However, the biggest disappointment of the year; Nats started with 19 players and ended with 10 players. Many of them quit altogether. Tells you all you need to know about the man's personality. Angry Man. |

Sadly, Lou is but one example of the type of person that seems to permeate all levels of rep hockey. For every sane normal coach, there seems to be one Lou.
I won't miss it. Not even a little. |

Lou is the short form for Lou-ser. What a piece of work. Can't find one good thing to say about the bastard. When a former NHL player trash talks with the kids on the ice, even last year when he was an assistant coach, you know he's a reject. What an embarassment to his own kid. |

Just watched some old youtube of Lou clotheslining Kelly Hrudey.... guess you play the game one way, you coach it the same way.
I'd say the Kings have to be one of the biggest suprises |

biggest surprise would have to be the titans...hands up if anyone thought theyd win a game all season...nevermind almost make the playoffs |

have to admit, titans did way better than i thought. I saw them just before season started, and figured they gave dmf a good chance to get out of last. i think arbour deserves a lot of credit for that. not like he had a lot of proven players to start with. |

Agreed.
Nice surprises:
Kings, Marlies & Titans.
Disappointments:
JC, Flyers (they weren't bad last year), Nats

Would disagree with the above, Titans did have some proven players, thats why they had a better year then the
previous Wexford Midget team. The Wexford Midgets were so bad that anyone new coming in could have done better. That coach was as bad as you can get. Give Arbour credit for recruiting some good players. |

Titans had arguably the best goaltending and trap in the league. They over achieved, credit the coach for coaching with what he had. |

" Titans had arguably the best goaltending and trap in the league. They over achieved, credit the coach for coaching with what he had." Sounds like someone is putting down the Titans players and trying to lift the coach up.

" credit the coach for coaching with what he had." Is it possible the Arbour picked these same players?
Next time you bump into a Titan parent ask them about Arbour's coaching abilities-or lack of.

The same Pat Arbour who was not asked back by the Markham Majors and now Toronto Titans. The same Pat Arbour
whose Markham coaching staff almost quit on him and did not follow him to the Titans. In fact not one player followed him from that Markham team. Yea, what a great guy. Your right about one thing,"he is unreal". |

Obviously you don't have the whole picture.
You're trying to put the pieces together but the problem is you don't have all the pieces.
Every coach has their strengths and weaknesses and Arbour is no different.
My son played with him on Markham and loved him as a coach and I respect him as a parent.
He can't be all that bad, if he is how is it that he's coaching Junior A next year?
