Italian beef in crock pot...

I used a pot roast but a leaner cut like rump roast would be good. I seared it, put in pot with a little onion, a packet each of au jus gravy and dry zesty italian dressing along with 2 cups water. I also put a couple of green peppers cut into quarters. I took the peppers out before they went mushy. Just cook til fork tender. I used italian bread I grilled it first. There was lots of juice. You could put a little red sauce on it and mozz cheese and broil til bubbly. I just did plain beef and it was so good.
