Was on Vacation in Astoria Oregon, and found a guy that sings my favorite artist to a tee in a Karaoke Bar there. I swear you sould think it was Neil Diamond himself. His name is Don Kelly and I dont know why no one has discovered him yet, because he has Neils same golden voice and can sing all of the superstars favorite songs. If you ever get the chance to see this guy check him out he is incredible....

7" DESIREE /ONCE IN A WHILE
7" FOREVER IN BLUE JEANS / REMEMBER ME
7" HELLO AGAIN / AMAZED IN CONFUSED
7" HOLLY HOLY /HURTIN' YOU DON'T COME EASY
7" LOVE ON THE ROCKS /ACAPULCO
7" ON THE WAY TO THE SKY / SAVE ME

In concert,Neil does a song in tribute to his former steel drum player Vincent, what is the title of the song and is it recorded on any of his albums ???

Have a quick question. Does anyone remember the song that david spade sang of Neil Diamond's in a movie, where his brother was a caterer, and he had to sing it to impress the wife of the guy he was trying to get a job with? Do you remember the movie that was?

has anyone got any info, pictures, clippings etc on Neil H.A.N. concert.
I am working on a theatre show at the moment based on Neils concerts and we are struggling to find any pictorial evidence (other than the album cover) on Neils costume, stage set etc.
Does anyone know who published a 4 part version of "America". I really need it for a 100+ voice choir around July 4? Can some one atleast point me in the right direction? I believe that this would be a fitting climax to the Star Spangled Spectacular. If It has orchestraion or a track, would even be better.

Some time ago I was lucky enough to have done an album with members of Neil’s band at their studio in West Hollywood, California. At that time I thought it would fun for my band to cover some of his classic hits. Now with bluegrass and country music being as popular as it is, CMH Records and I have produced “Forever In Bluegrass: A Tribute To Neil Diamond” (since my best friend Richard Bennett co-wrote the song, “Forever In Blue Jeans” with Neil, the title was preordained). I was fortunate in getting not just my guys, but some of the legendary bluegrassers I’d wanted to pick with for a long time to play on the album.
The thing about a great melody is that it can be transposed to a variety of styles and interpretations and still retain the essence of the writer’s original intent. I never hesitated, realising that whatever I did, and no matter what you may think of it, I certainly could not corrupt these great songs that will live on long after our guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin licks have faded from memory. Then again, maybe our versions will set you off on a musical adventure precipitating the search for volume two.
So for now I can only say that we had a ball doing this record, and to give ya’ll some idea of how much fun it was we invite you to visit our site-thetributeto.com/neildiamond-and sample a few tracks. By 02/05/02 we will have the full length download, free of charge, for “Beautiful Noise”.

May 2002 sees the launch of a brand new and spectacular Neil Diamond Show, “Sweet Caroline”, which will tour the larger provincial theatres in the UK.
Produced in the style of a docu-concert, the show features three of the UK’s leading Neil Diamond impersonators along with a fantastic 8-piece band, reflecting Neil’s own band.
More than thirty of Neil Diamond’s hits are included in this fast moving, musical extravaganza.
The producers have asked for YOUR feedback, it is after all a show for Neil Diamond fans. Please leave your comments on the Forever In Blue Jeans message board rather than clog the show’s electronic mail system and I will forward you comments in batch format.
Please check back regularly; show news and dates will be published in the very near future.
Thanks for your support

A very, very long time ago, I heard a song with the lyrics - I wish you shelter from the storm, a cozy fire to keep you warm, but most of all when snowflakes all, I wish you love. - Is this Neil Diamond? If so, is this song on a particular CD that I can buy? thank you. cindy

Neil Diamond, to my surprise, has a passion for sailing the open seas. I was very pleased to hear this. I think that he should sing songs about Sailing, just like Jimmy Buffett does. Also, Neil has great taste in clothes. I mean, my favorite outfit is red pants and a lacrosse sweatshirt, but I could handle crotch hugging pants and sequined shirts!! Neil is the man..Diamonds are forever.

I am searching for a recording of a 1976 concert in Australia where Roy Orbison and Neil Diamond sang together. Roy sang at Neil's concert and Neil sang at Roy's concert. I know that these concerts occured because I have photos of them together from these concerts. If anyone has any information on how to get a copy of this recording please email me at flyguyrke@aol.com. I would really appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Bob

I don't want anybody else. When I think about Neil Diamond, I touch myself. Neil I will wear blue jeans forever just for you. I want to be your sweet caroline even if that is not my real name. I also think that you should do Jay Ferguson's 1977 hit "Thunder Island." I think that would be great. I also have thought about something else. You know the guy that plays the flugel horn, named CHuck Mangione? he does that grocery store stuff like "feels so good" and "XIth COmmandment" and others..well you should put words to those songs and sing them, but that is just my opinion. I will be there in cleveland wearing a green dress and screaming very loud to you with my strange friend who will also be wearing a green dress. See you there Neil! LOVE YOU SO MUCH. EVEN MORE THAN I LOVE ROD, BARRY, BRUCE, VANGELIS, ELTON, BILLY, CHUCK, JIMMY (BUFFETT), CAT, PERRY, BOBBY (VINTON AND SHERMAN), BOZ, "BRAM", PAUL SABU, JAMES TAYLOR, MICK JAGGER, THE BEATLES, AnD EVEN MORE THAN I LOVE JAY FERGUSON, IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT. FOREVER YOURS, J.

Paul Sabu is the man. I wrestled with him once. Guess who won? ME!! My friends Matthias and Fred are over right now, and we are listening to some great songs. We listened to Neil's "The song of the whales" and "SON of a son of a sailor" For fred the Parrothead. and then for Matthias, a GERMAN, We listened to Komm, Gib Meir Deine Hand and Sie Leibt Deicht (the beatles in German). But SABU and Neil are by far the best. I enjoy Neil because he makes me hot. So does rod stewart. but neil has a bigger effect on my life as a person. He looks like my friend fred. I can't wait to see him live in concert. I think I will probably die there!! you probably hope so. Well thank you and good night

Neil is a man whom I adore. I've always wanted to just grab one of his sequins and keep it for myself. I want him to cover some older stuff, maybe Barry Manilow or something. And what would be great is if he could put words to chuck mangione songs. wow i bet he could, the man's a genius. all i can say is, i love neil!

neil, when i think about you, i just get this funny feeling inside of my tummy, and i want to give you like this really big hug. It just overwhelms me. I wish i could be by your side when you get all jittery before a concert... you must get so nervous!!!!! but you always pull through and pull off a stunning performance. I would like to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you

Neil Diamond is the best. I can't wait for his concert on the 15th. in Cleveland. It will be amazing. All of my dreams will be fulfilled when i see his glorious body on stage in ten pounds of pink sequins. I'm so excited I can't sleep at night. I just think of Neil all the time, and I wish he could think of me. So if he ever reads fan mail or message boards about him, then i hope he reads this. Because I've sent him sooo many fan letters, and he NEVER responds, it makes me so sad. I know deep down he cares about all of his fans, but I want a personal connection to him. So If anyone can give this message to him, or he sees it, just let him know "tula" is his biggest fan in the whole wide world. I LOVE YOU NEIL.

I am looking for the song called "Lady Oh". I think it was on the Beautiful Noise album, but I want to know what other albums it might be on. One of my favorite songs is called, "All I Really Need Is You" from the Love Scape Album. I have many others. He's the best I have ever heard. I am 55 now and have been listening to his tunes all my life . He's the best.

I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL DAYS WITH BARBRA STREISAND BUT SHE IS THE GREATEST...BRINGS TEARS AND SHIVERS WHEN SHE SINGS HER SONGS, HER CONCERTS AND YOURS I HAVE TAPED FOR VIEWING OVER AND OVER AND OVER...NEIL I DON'T KNOW IF YOU EVER READ YOUR MESSAGE BOARDS TO SEE WHAT REACTION YOU HAVE ON THE PUBLIC...BUT PLEASE KEEP SINGING FOREVER AND ESPECIALLY LIKE THE NEW CD THREE CHORD OPERA..THE BEST OF ME SONG IS DEFINITELY THE BEST!!!!

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the video, "under a Tennessee Moon"? I bought my mom a copy a few years ago and now need to find another one for my aunt and uncle.
Hope yall don't mind my little story but have to tell it. My Uncle Jerry used to sing at weddings, funerals, etc. Well my mom was watching this video with one of my aunts and when the song "One Love" came on, my aunt couldn't believe how much it sounded like my uncle's voice.
My uncle is dying from lung cancer and when he finally heard this song, he immediately said he wanted it played at his funeral. He and my Aunt Tina have been married for 20+ years with many struggles during that time. The song "One Love" is their song. It describes them perfectly and in the video Waylon Jennings talks about his wife Jesse and how she stood behind him through years of trouble. This song so fits my aunt and uncle and my mom would love to get them a copy of this video so he can see it.
If anyone knows where I can find a copy, please email me at shanicreek@aol.com.

I WAS INTRODUCED TO THE TALENT OF NEIL DIAMOND BY MY HUSBAND MANY YEARS AGO. I BECAME MESMERIZED BY THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE AND THE WORDS THAT HE SANG. MY HUSBAND IS GONE NOW AND I LISTEN TO NEIL ALL THE TIME AND IT REKINDLES THE FEELINGS AS THOUGH MY HUSBAND WAS STILL HERE WITH ME. HE IS WITH ME BUT FROM A DISTANCE ABOVE AND WITH NEILS SONGS ALWAYS PLAYING, HE TRULY IS WITH ME.

There DEFINATELY is a studio version of "I Dreamed a Dream" done by Neil. I had it on cassette, too, but lost it. The studio single was released in October of 87' with the Hot August Night II "Sweet Caroline" on the B side. I would really love a clean copy of the studio version of this song as well. I can't find it anywhere. I tried record shops to see if they could special order it for me, but it wasn't in any of their catalogues.

I can't find the words to the songs in Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Where can I go for this?
Also, is there a site to send a message to Neil or to someone that sorts and sends them on to him? He saved my life once, and I have never had the guts to tell him. I once had his attorney's address, but that was 25 years ago.
Any help you can give me will be much appreciated.

SWEET CAROLINE
Written by Neil Diamond
Where it began
I can't begin to knowin'
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands, touchin' hands
Reachin' out
Touchin' me
Touchin' you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I
Look at the night
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin' runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm with you
Warm, touchin' warm
Reachin' out
Touchin' me
Touchin' you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Sweet Caroline

FirstI want to say that I feel sorry for those who won't have a thanksgiving meal for whatever the reason maybe. Also that they don't have a home and the usual blessings all of us were all blessed with! Thanksgiving to me is trying to give others a good meal that day when helping out Thanksgiving day. I give thanks to God,Family,Freinds,Health, and the other blessings that I don't deserve while I think others deserve it more than I do. Thanksgiving isn't about eating a good cooked meal it's about being thankful for what we do have and wish that others would have to same as we do! As the settlers came over here they had little to eat while a tribe of freindly Native Americans decided to give them a meal since they wanted to be graceful towards their new neighbors and to help them find what to eat. While generations later we've turned on the Native Americans just because greed has consumed the grandchildren of the Pilgrims. I also thank the Native Americans for making this day possible and for all the pain they've been put through over the years!
