Instead of my usual posts relating my various ailments (major and minor), I am now sharing good news with the site. My counts are excellent! It has now been almost two years since I was treated with 24/7 Cladribine in July 2007 shortly after diagnosis.
I left Memorial Sloan feeling like I hit the lottery. It is a load off my mind knowing that I won't have to be treated again for HCL anytime soon. I wish that everyone on this site could have similarly excellent counts.
The WBC seems "way" normal. Almost too good to be true.
Whad the doc say about it? I wonder if I've ever in my life
had wbc that good? The hemo and plts look about what you'd
expect for full remission--in my case. But my wbc never has been
above 5.6 even in full remission. Last was 5 for me.
It really is a tremendous relief. I am so fortunate to be in remission and to be rehired too. Now I can enjoy the summer. I am planning to go to Montreal and also Puerto Rico.
