Mother's Day...just another day areound here too.
My son went to his Junior Prom last night and got home about 3 so he "is still asleep" and I am at my usual place infront of the puter.... as you said just an other day to go through. 
Yes I feel just as you do with the helping and learning thing....I have done a couple of store fronts using PayPal shopping cart for a couple of friends of mine and I did not charge because it was something that I had never done and was a great learning thing for me... but if I do any more I will difinatley charge because they are very time consuming and a pain in the butt to get all the info from the people who want websites done. But it will not be a great amount...
I just got my first puter and e-mail account in 2000 too and it has been great learning...I am not much of a book reader...more of a show me and I got it person...Have learned alot about things from the view source codes and am still learning. daily.
Did you hear the music I put on the post in NW54 to you in the sliding menu thread? LOL
finally figured out today how to get music and swf files into p osts in HTML...but with NW54 ya got to (preview, then edit, then post or it will come out as code only and not action...that is something also I learned too. to post code for someone in a p ost all ya have to do is put it in and hit p ost and it stays (does not turn into action). Neat huh...I can finally get rid of the <!--> finally...LOl
