My Grandfather and his brother came over from Germany in the late 1800. No relation to the rock group...I have a great aunt that did a history but i amnot sure that she found all the family that would still be in Germany. Must read the book again some day. Alas the language was lost when my Grandfather got here and married. He said that "Now we are in America and we will speak English" So the children never learned German.
There are many resettled Germans in the Fredricksburg area just North of Austin, texas from that era.
Oh, KD is a Nick, short for Kitty Droid, that someone gave me in 2001...I have 8 cats (thus kitty) and I was on the puter 24/7 at that time (thus droid) LOL But my real Nick that I use for everything puter...is Blackkats4 (have 4 black cats)
