I downloaded your emoticon window and then uploased it to my server...so my bandwidth would be used.

with both your window and yours that is on my server, i can drag and drop the emoticons into your post box in FF and into my post box in IE...

In IE the alt txt does not show as it does in FF as you can see from the below last two examples. the first one I edited it out.
But as i said in IE this does not occure.

There is just something in your code that allowes posting (drag and drop) in different websites... I tryed the emoticons that are embedded in my forum in Phill's code and you can not do it...but it might just be because of the url i am using (bravenet) LOL

Think I will play with this as my project for the day...LOL and maybe add phill's edit code to the exterier page and see if it will work...That way we can have a traveling edit and emoticon window so that we can do these things on other nw54 pages...LOL big project but I have not been on the puter except for general things (e-mail etc in a couple of weeks) Weather has been too nice to be indoors.

The 'ALT'-text is just to place a description of the graphic it does not load/show by itself, and it might be a help text for blind users (can you imagin how it is for a blind surfer coming to a website with a graphic-tables-overloades website and read : graphic, graphic, graphic...)
So. IE shows the ALT-text wrongly as a tooltip. People are always surprised when they find out, the 'tooltip' does not show in other browser ...
If you want to have a tooltip with descriptional text you have to use the title attribut (?).... in addition of alt="" write: title=""

How's your boo-footed goose doing? Is he 'waiting for Chirstmas'... but I only can guess that X-mas don't have the same meaning for your waterfowls than it has for usual geese in the country...
