I have a Z24 sitting in my back yard which runs excellent but will not shift out of first gear.I have installed three different Transmissions and 3 different torque converters and still wont shift Iam willing to take $600.00 or best offer for the car if anyone is interested in this car I live in Tampa,Florida and will be more than glad to show anyone this car,I believe this car would be a better parts car than a daily driver due to the interior is in poor shape
Thanks,Don
where can I find a different shifter knob for my 90 cavalier rs I've looked but since the shifter lever is such an odd shape I don't know where to find one that will fit got any suggestions????
Hey, I would like to say that your site is a good one. I know that there really isn't a lot of Chevy sites out there. I am going to buy a Cavalier Z24 in a couple months. And I want everyone who owns one to write what they like about there own vehicle! Thanx and keep up on the great site.
i like my car cuz its faster that my v8 80's camaro and i can race mustangs/turbo eclipses/ and my fav a m3 and win the 5.0's beat be only after i get into 4th gear and noone evr thinks a cav is fast!!!hehe showed them
I have an '86 Cavalier RS convertable with a 2.8 Liter V-6. This is my first car and I plan to keep it forever and in my desire to rebuild it completely I'd like to make it the Cavalier from hell. GM sells a 3.4 liter drop in for my car, but I want to know if I can just build up any 3.4 block maybe even a 3.8 (they are all 60 degree V-6's, right?) and drop it in. Please e-mail if you can help. rozsafam@your-net.com
As far as i know man the 3.4 that gm sells is just fgor rear wheel drive versions of your motor. I looked into this when i put my motor in. I end up puting a 3.1 and it worked just fine no mod needed to be done
