I'll be in Arras in November, and so will be visiting my great-uncle's gravesite at Foncquevillers (he's the only NIH soldier at Foncquevillers, in fact). What I'd like to know, if anyone has the information, is where was he killed? Or perhaps where was the squadron stationed? He was hit by a shell on the 23rd June of 1916.
The front couldn't have been that far from Foncquevillers; I don't think they buried them far from where they fell in the war, but I'd like to visit the area and get an idea of the place.
Many thanks for any help you can supply.
