It's been a while, since I saw you last,
Since time fell short, and my moment passed,
Since I'd wake to the sunrise, and your face,
Since love was a feeling that hope still embraced,
It's been a while, since I'd stay up, thinking of you,
Since I honestly felt, blind love was true,
Since all wasn't fair, in not war but in love,
Since wishes weren't granted by stars up above,
And it's been a while, since I last said goodbye,
Since I left it 'til later; since time wouldn't die,
But I still can't explain, how you make me feel,
All I know is I love you, and that's all that's real,
It may sound cliché, but don't feel deceived,
Everyone here's the right to dream,
It might not make sense, but the light will yet gleam,
And someday you'll see; realize what I mean,
I'm guilty it seems, no need for a trial,
But, for what it's worth, it was worth all the while,
And despite that it's over, despite this heart's pain,
If only to see you, I'd do it again.

Ah love - without love and the aftermath, there would only be half as many poems in the world! Sometimes that's the best thing that comes out of a relationship, all the poetry we create! It does help us to deal with our lives, to be able to write about it, doesn't it?
Good job, Daniel, good rhyming and flow throughout - very well done!
