Is there any way that you can take back the name of the voice? You have carried that all the way across Canada. YOU are the reason that it is even still alive! I really dont like Clive at all. And all that "me and his nefew" crap makes me really mad! I cant stand it. I want to make something go wrong for him for all that he has put you through. Looks like its time for torot!
I'd have to look into the legalities of it - but first I'm thinking of taking it to the media, maybe CBC Radio first, because I think this is a big literary issue. We did represent Canada's literary culture, but now the Voice just represents whatever Clive wants to allow.
I think there are some issues of rights and ownership here I'm not quite clear on, so I'd like some public discussion of this issue, radio interviews and things, maybe a phone-in radio show to get listener opinions. But Clive has been the one paying the financial costs of the domain name called writers-voice.com. That's what he owns, the domain name, but he's besmirched the other name so badly now I think it's time for a change.
Walking over to Megan's along the river today, the name 'Writer's Choice' struck me, but it's already been overused in the search engine results, so... I do like the name Wondersmith West, of course, but it needs to incorporate Writers in there somehow... Thinking, thinking, it will come to me...
