Stag Night (between the lines)

Stag Night

Fragile minds without exception.
Yet fight like stags upon the plains.
Bony protusions, interception,
Intense defence, restraint remains.

Moonshadows yet the stags graze,
Nervous about forthcoming days.
The defenders gather as night decays
Then stroll away to a brand new phase.

Sun is up, wide awake, plains are bare.
Fragile minds behind closed doors,
Pull up the draw bridge, private affair,
Laws are laid to reassure, restore, withdraw.

The defenders breathe fresh air, sunlight,
Dancing light into plans that will grow.
Lost remorse, a mounting force, despite
Facing chaotic winds that lash and blow.

The defenders are of fragile minds
Yet clinch change with gleeful oath.
Others decline into their own designs.
The defenders yearn for growth.

Very good Rusty!

It's kind of funny how almost everything I read leads my mind back to the trouble with the Voice... I like the images along the way, though!

Love and Hugs,

Alice
