Hey!!! I had a great time, mostly, and I'm glad to hear you had some fun this week too! I didn't really have any 'fun' - well, one shopping trip with a new female friend, that was fun, but all the man stuff is always too intense, you know? I love my friend dearly, but time with him is always exhausting for me. I'm his Guardian Angel and psychoanalyst, plus secretary, Majordomo, etc., so it's rather more 'work' than 'fun' when I spend time with him! All of the above complicated by legal and other issues, so........
But I'm back, and I've had a change of scenery, been to a new town, met new people {some of them will turn into 'characters' one day}, and got presents for everybody around, so that was fun! And I get to give my little boy Matthew, second youngest, turning eight today, a very big and very good surprise! He thought I'd have to miss his birthday and celebrate with him tomorrow and Monday - I thank God my obligations out there were done a day early!
I like the quote you posted here - it is very true, and you have to keep your enthusiasm even through 'failure' - what is failure but a lesson cloaked in a little adversity, to show us something we need to learn, and to grow? Your optimism, good sense of humour, and enthusiasm for life in general will see you through any 'failures' that might come along, Julie. There is no 'failure,' there is change, and generally we are better people for our 'failures.' That word should be just taken right out of the language maybe!
I'd better go and do some other things on here - it's tough to stay awake, but I want to get Matthew's birthday presents set up where he'll see them the minute he walks in {the boys spent the night at my girlfriend's} - and my suitcase, so he knows I'm here. I love surprising my kids!

My kids are my world, and I love them all dearly!
I love you too, Julie, and I'm glad to be back so I can talk to you and my other friends here again!
Love and Big Hugs,
Alice
