Well I just left the WV where I posted several responses to an ongoing political question. In the response I had copied and pasted information supporting my view, and made sure to give credit to the authors and website from which the information was taken. I read a post in which I was told that it would be better from here on out, if I just referred people to the information, because of copyright laws. Then there was the question- Do I worry too much? Of couse I gave a response. Absurdity ad nauseum!
Clive is clueless on how to operate a discussion forum and wonders why his little group remains only to be his
cheerleaders Harry and Matt and occasionally Dave.
He requests new writers to jump on in the forum but the
only ones that do are his chums.
He has no idea how to discuss things without deterring people away .
Alice...Email me private and remember also I am reminding you about The Earth has a cold.
Love having you back...Misssed you big time!!! Julie
Hi David:
Well, wouldn't you know it? It seems to me you did what was expected of you legally. I am, of course, not a lawyer, but from my understanding, as long as you gave credit where credit was due, it's not a problem. I surely would not give it another thought.

Dave, I drop in over there occasionally myself, and it just breaks my heart. Have you looked at the feedback page lately? Half the posts are badgering the new writers because their work has a lot of errors! Duh!!! Of course it does, there is no Editor!!! Unbelievable, eh? Our dream of helping young writers, taking them by the hand and encouraging them, teaching them through editing their work and placing the correct versions online - all taken away in such a short time!!
I'll have to talk to a lawyer about my publisher issue anyway, I'll talk with her about the situation with the Voice as well. I'm tired of getting messed around {the most polite term I could think of} right left and center, and am not going to take it anymore.
I'm keeping my anger under control, Dave - you'd never know I was angry, I do not demonstrate anger except perhaps in a raised voice occasionally. I save my hands for typing, no wall punching or other manifestations of anger, no worries. I'm quite calm even while a part of me seethes at the injustices in this world! But we will address these situations, and justice will be done. For one thing, we'll do a 'test' order or two of multiple copies of my book, and see what the responses are. I'll make sure I get a copy of that email they sent to the Chapters store in Toronto where Pam ordered her books, and see how many more we can come up with. I'm sure she's not the only one that's been denied copies!
Anyway, I'm trying to unwind, and tomorrow is a new day to conquer the world and the black forces in it, and I should get some sleep soon. Glad to see you dropping in regularly, Dave. How is your new work going?
Alice I'm very proud of you for handling everything so well. Yes, please do let an attorney look into the writers-voice as well. I went to Alexa's search engine several days ago and did an analysis of my website. It did not show any traffic report. I guess the site is still too new, because there has been some traffic. I decided to drop the WV into the search bar, and I learned that there has been 721,000+ visitors to the site. In every category the site is doing excellent. It very well could be that the WV is on the verge of becoming quite self-sustaining monetarily. As you have said- Clive chose this particular time to start friction. It simply sickens and angers me. All of this may very well have been planned. Instead of feeling very blessed its quite possible that Clive instead felt very greedy. I am glad to hear that you are going to challege it legally.
I firmly believe that you will win this battle, because truth and right are on your side.
