Good Morning, All!
Some of you might remember me negotiating with an American gentleman about a year ago, a man who wanted me to write his autobiographical novel.
Well, right now, I have a certified cheque for $5,000 on the way, the first half of my retainer, sitting in the US Customs here in Calgary, to be delivered to my door before 5:00PM today!!!
Am I excited? You bet!!! I'm exhausted from jumping up and down and shrieking!!!
It's amazing when something goes from 'no no no' to okay instantly in this computer age. Well, 'instantly' is rather a strange word to use after a year and more of on and off negotiations. I think I'm still in shock...
But I had to tell you all there's GOOD news in my life!!! Which also reminds me to add a big website to my list of things to do with my sudden riches. Not that $5,000 will go very far, really, but it's enough to make a difference, and enough to restore my self-confidence after the year I've had!!
I certainly have my work cut out for me for the next several months, but I'll spend some relaxing time finally building our pretty website now that I have the money to buy some space.
