I'm totally exhausted from travelling for fifty hours, but I'm still upright until I write out the chapter that's been pounding on the inside of my head for about five days.
This was an extremely valuable trip in many ways, and I have so much more depth I didn't even know existed in the area of this biography. My entire being is saturated with information and people and locations. My girlfriend Megan said tonight that I not only have a photographic memory, I have a cinematic one, and that is totally accurate.
Please forgive me for not answering your individual messages right now, but I'm stuffed with information and have to download some before I burst. I've already had to stop this chapter from unrolling in my head about fifteen times, for lack of a keyboard. Now that I have one, I've already started. I'll share it here once Don's seen it.
I'll come back to chat either later tonight or tomorrow morning. A bath wouldn't hurt either, but first things first. Oh, and I did my very first radio and newspaper interviews smoothly, as a natural part of the process, so that's a good thing.
Wonderful! You are home and safely off the road with excitement to boot. I have been checking in on everyone now and then, but not participating very often, because I have started to paint the inside of our house. When the weather becomes more predictable, the whole family is going to begin to paint the outside. So I guess my hands will be busy with a paintbrush instead of a keyboard for a while. THat is alright though. I have some new poetry swimming around in my head, and I need time to think about it. Painting is extremely theraputic for me. I actually enjoy it.
Well, take care everyone. I may be too tired to comment readily, but I will always be lurking around.
Love,
Suzanne
My own house is slated for a facelift this year too, and I can't wait! It's always so nice to have the whole place refreshed.... Good for you and your family! Painting is very therapeutic, and gives a very good sense of accomplishment!
Nice to see you, Suzanne!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the poetry that's currently swimming around in your head...
